Renesas currently uses a variety of PCB design tools, which have been brought into the company through acquisitions of other firms. This has led to a lack of standardization, which the new partnership with Altium aims to address. With Altium 365, users can collaborate with design stakeholders and other participants while ensuring IP security and keeping designs under version control. Renesas will publish the ECAD libraries for all its products on the Altium Public Vault, allowing customers to directly select Renesas components from the Altium library to shorten time to market for products.
