Description
Texas Instruments LM2831ZSD/NOPB is an integrated switch-mode wide-input battery charger and system power supply IC. It is designed to accept inputs from 6 V to 36 V and output voltages of 3.3 V or 5 V with a peak charging current of up to 2 A.
The device is specifically suited for applications in battery-operated products such as medical, industrial, and automotive.
Features of the device include auto-sense battery current limiting, intelligent thermal management, fault detection, user-programmable charge status pins, and a low operating current of 135 mA typical.
The device also provides reverse battery protection, charge over-voltage protection, and under-voltage lock-out.
The LM2831ZSD/NOPB is offered in an 8-pin LLP package, and is compliant to JEDEC standards. It is also RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) compliant.
