Description
Description This noninverting 8-bit translator features two individually configurable power rails.
The A port's purpose is to monitor VCCA. Any source voltage between 1.2 and 3.6 volts is supported by VCCA.
The B port is used to monitor the VCCB. Any source voltage between 1.65 V and 5.5 V is acceptable to VCCB. This permits bidirectional universal low-voltage translation between any of the voltage nodes 1.2-V, 1.5-V, 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V.
The value of VCCA shall not be more than the value of VCCB. All outputs become high-impedance when the output-enable (OE) input is low.
The OE input circuit of the TXB0108 is powered by VCCA.   This device is designed entirely for Ioff-based partial-power-down applications.
The Ioff circuitry disables the outputs when the device is switched off, eliminating dangerous current backflow through the device. Connect OE to GND through a pulldown resistor to maintain the high-impedance situation during power-up or power-down; the minimum value of the resistor is set by the driver's current-sourcing capabilities.
